Man shot in unknown Canberra location

A MAN was forced to drive himself to hospital on Monday (May 20) after he had been shot in the leg and “slashed” with a knife.

He drove himself in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer and refused to tell police where he was shot.

They believe it was Tuggeranong between 9pm and 10pm and are calling on anyone who heard a loud bang or popping sounds that could have been gunshots in that time period to provide details to Crime Stoppers.

ACT Policing is also asking anyone who was driving at that time to check if their dash cam footage includes a silver Mitsubishi Lancer.

Crime Stoppers can be called on 1800 333000, or contacted via the Crime Stoppers ACT website using reference number 6398459.
