THE figures are in and the 25th Canberra International Music Festival saw a 12 per cent increase in attendances, with 8000 tickets sold.
The 43 events over 11 days were held in some of Canberra’s most recognisable venues, such as The National Gallery of Australia, Mount Stromlo and The Botanic Gardens.
Festival organisers report that around 40 per cent of their resources came from individual donors, the business community, venue partners, embassies and a team of more than 120 volunteers.
Who can be trusted?
In a world of spin and confusion, there’s never been a more important time to support independent journalism in Canberra.
If you trust our work online and want to enforce the power of independent voices, I invite you to make a small contribution.
Every dollar of support is invested back into our journalism to help keep citynews.com.au strong and free.
Thank you,
