Police find hub of stolen goods in Queanbeyan

AFTER locating a hub of stolen goods in Queanbeyan, NSW police are now in the process of finding who owns the items. 

Stolen goods such as high end bicycles, a motorbike, power tools, mobile phones and computers, were seized following the arrest of a Queanbeyan man and Jerrabomberra teenager yesterday (July 16).

Together, the Queanbeyan man, 34, and the Jerrabomberra man, 18, were charged with 25 property offences such as malicious damage, stealing and fraud.

The Queanbeyan man was charged at about 3.55pm yesterday with offences relating to break and enter (x5), fraud, malicious damage (x4), stealing (x3) and enter vehicle without consent. The man was also charged in relation to two outstanding arrest warrants.

Not long after, at about 5.30pm, the Jerrabomberra man was charged with break and enter (x3), malicious damage (x4), stealing (x3) and enter vehicle without consent.

Following the arrest of the two men, police searched a Queanbeyan address and seized high end bicycles, a motorbike, power tools, electrical goods including mobile phones, computers and car stereos, hand tools and other property.

The Queanbeyan man will face the Queanbeyan Local Court on July 22 and the Jerrabomberra man on August 12.

Police are in the process of locating the owners of the seized property and are encouraging anyone who may have had property stolen to contact the Crime Prevention Unit at Queanbeyan Police Station and quote reference E72008259.
