CANBERRA’S north side has been targeted again after multiple shops were broken into or ram raided early this morning (June 25).

Police believe all break-ins from this morning are linked and have reason to believe it was three people behind the crimes.

They were first alerted to a break in at about 3.40am at Woolworths in Franklin. At the scene, they found the offenders had smashed through the front doors and stolen gift cards and cigarettes.

Shortly after, police were called to a similar incident at Woolworths Hawker. In this incident, the offenders failed to gain entry but the store was damaged.

Later, police were called to a ram-raid that had occurred at the Cook shops, and then, at about 5.45am, police received information about a car fire at the Hawker playing fields.

Investigations are ongoing and police say they’re also searching for a red Subaru Impreza and a dark green Holden Astra believed to have been used in these incidents.

Anyone who may have any information or dash-cam footage that could assist police is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website using reference number 6410319.
