Shopping centres robbed minutes apart

POLICE were called to the Ngunnawal shops at about 5.30am on Thursday (July 4) following reports that two offenders in a stolen silver Toyota Prado had stolen money after a forced entry to a shop.

Forty minutes later police were called to the Forde shops following reports offenders had caused significant damage and stolen money.

While examining whether the two incidents are linked, police are calling for witnesses, CCTV and dash-cam footage of the suspected aggravated burglaries.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious or who has dash-cam footage or CCTV of Francis Forde Boulevard between 4am and 6.20am on July 4 should call 1800 333000 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
