A COUPLE was in a laneway at Cooleman Court yesterday (July 7) when a teenager allegedly threatened them with a metal weapon and demanded they hand over a mobile phone. It was about 6.15pm.
The couple handed over the phone and the man, who was wearing a dark coloured hoodie and dark pants, ran away towards the carpark on the southern side of the shopping centre.
He is described as Caucasian and about 175cm tall.
Police believe a number of witnesses may have seen the incident or the teen running away and are urging them to come forward.
Information that could assist police can be reported at 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website using reference number 6414917.
