Video: Brewery punch sends man to surgery

Police released CCTV footage of the alleged offender who punched a man in Fyshwick

A MAN has undergone surgery to repair his broken jaw after he was allegedly punched at the Capital Brewery pub in Fyshwick.

Police have released CCTV footage of the man who allegedly punched the victim on March 2.

Police say the man had a verbal altercation with the victim at about 11pm near the toilets and then shortly after this altercation, the man has punched the victim in the side of the head.

The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, with short brown hair and missing one of his front teeth. He was wearing a red t-shirt and black shorts.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may be able to identify the man from the CCTV footage.
