Woman dragged into alleyway and assaulted

A WOMAN was walking along Tate Street, towards the O’Connor shops, on Sunday (June 9) night when she was dragged into an alleyway by two men, where one of them physically assaulted her.

At about 6pm, the other man allegedly ran from the location before the assault. He’s described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s, shorter than the other man, with a heavy build. He was wearing a dark beanie, dark clothing and possibly a ski jacket.

The man who assaulted the woman ran towards Tate Street and continued on to either Westgarth or Robinson Street after the assault. He’s described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s, over 183cm (6’0”) tall, with a slim build, clean shaven and blonde, shoulder length hair sticking out of his beanie. He was wearing a dark coloured beanie, wool gloves, a top and pants.

Anyone who may have any information that could assist police is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website using reference number 6405025.
