ACT Health gives the green light to contact sports

CANBERRA will stay at stage 2.2 of coronavirus restrictions but ACT Health has announced some small, new easing of restrictions from midday tomorrow (July 17).

From midday, full contact sporting competition, including dance and martial arts, can recommence with a “return to play” COVID-19 plan or a “COVID Safety Plan”.

Competition and squad swimming can recommence in line with maximum gatherings for swimming pools and there will no longer be a limit on the number of swimmers per lane.

Also from tomorrow, all hospitality venues and licensed premises must prominently display the maximum number of patrons allowed in the venue under COVID restrictions.
