ACT’s first virus death was a cruise ship passenger

CANBERRA’S first death from the coronavirus, a woman in her 80s, contracted COVID-19 on the Ruby Princess cruise ship. 

Chief health officer Dr Kerryn Coleman announced yesterday that the woman died over the weekend at Canberra Hospital.

There are currently six COVID-19 patients in Canberra hospitals.
