AS arts cancellations continue to mount, the 2020 Sydney Eisteddfod, at this stage, plans to go ahead on May 23 in the hope that the COVID-19 crisis will have eased by then. Entries at sydneyeisteddfod.com.au have been extended to March 23.

BUT the ANU School of Music has now officially cancelled all public and social events until Saturday, June 20, and the National Library of Australia’s public and education programs are cancelled until further notice.

AS previously reported, the 25th CAT Awards gala is off, but the award results will be announced as planned at 6pm on Saturday, April 18, online at catawards.com.au

IRISH singer-songwriter Eleanor McEvoy has flown home, so will not perform at Tuggeranong Arts Centre this Thursday, March 19.

PADMA Menon’s Moving Archetypes studio will not be open for live workshops, but virtual classes and other online resources are available at movingarchetypes.com.au.

BELCONNEN Arts Centre has cancelled all workshops and exhibition openings until further notice, but not its actual exhibitions. Activities presented by hirers at Belco Arts may continue to be offered, but check with the organisers directly.

GALLERY Bodalla will close, so its new show “Shelter in Place” due to open on March 19, will not go ahead.
