NEWS from the Adelaide Cabaret Festival is that next year’s festival will be directed by Scottish entertainer, actor, comedian, singer, writer, filmmaker, author, Broadway and cabaret performer, Alan Cumming. He will be the first
ever international artistic director in the festival’s history when it celebrates
its 21st anniversary in 2021.

THE notorious Off-Broadway musical, “Who’s Your Bagdaddy (Or How I Started the Iraq War)” has been reimagined to be performed online by an all-star Aussie cast in its Australian premiere. The musical is set in an AA-style support group meeting for people who imagine their actions led to the start of the Iraq War. Live-streamed here at 7.30pm from June 24 to 28.

CANBERRA Contemporary Art Space, now located at the East Space on Lake Burley Griffin, wants patrons to slot in Tuesday, June 30, 6-7pm, for the CCAS Annual Pizza + Beer Night, actually the CCAS AGM in disguise and “an occasion to savour”. Register via Eventbrite.
