“YOU Are Here” creative producers Ketura Budd and Nick Delatovic are presenting a season of works-in-progress in “Cahoots”, where artists experiment and receive live feedback from audiences. This Sunday (September 27): 11.30am in Haig Park, Braddon, kids’ show “Curtis to Newton” by Brett Hoppenbrouwer, 12-3pm in Pop Canberra, G12/27 Lonsdale St, Braddon, digital screenings of “Laptop Cinema” and “In This Skin”, 3pm in Haig Park is Sia Ahmad’s new album “A Body Full Of Tears”, closing event will be at 4.30pm in Gorman Arts Centre main hall with Ellie Malbon and Hannah de Feyter’s “Chosen In Her Own Time”. All free but bookings recommended

“MUSIC on the Greens” is a free live music series showcasing the rising student talent of ANU, and is returning to the lawns of Kambri at ANU every Saturday from noon-2pm, as well as live gigs from local bands and musicians every Sunday from 1-3pm, all welcome. Opens Saturday, September 26 and runs to November 14. All welcome.

“INK in the Lines” is a new exhibition which relates personal stories and experiences of Australian veterans through the use of tattoos. Now on display at the Australian War Memorial, it features more than 70 portraits and details the experiences of 21 Australian servicemen and servicewomen. It is thought to be the first exhibition in Australia to examine the use of tattoos in the military. Special Exhibitions Gallery until January 27, tickets include access to the 2020 Napier Waller art prize.

MUSICACT’S “Music Chats” series will be on the last Sunday of each month and offer time to learn something new as well as checking in with other musos. Panellists for the first chat are Alice Cottee (Glitoris), Kojo Ansah (Citizen Kay), Samantha Bennett (Glitoris) and Joel Tyrrell (Hands like Houses). SOPRANO Eleanor Lyons and her conductor/pianist husband Vladimir Fanshil will perform opera arias, undiscovered songs by Gliere, Grieg’s Six Songs Op 48 and a piece composed especially for them, “Wandering Hearts” by Sydney composer Elena Kats-Chernin. Wesley Music Centre, Forrest, Saturday, September 26, 2pm and 7.30pm. Bookings essential or call 6232 7248.

GRACE Notes and Dan McFeeley will be at the Artists Shed, 88 Wollongong Street, Fyshwick this Sunday, September 27 from 2-5pm. The café will be open and there is a BBQ in the break. Bookings recommended.

“AGENCY by Design: Expressive Design for Disability” is an exhibition partnership between Tuggeranong Arts Centre and Artisan Brisbane featuring Bravery Co, Technology for Ageing and Disability ACT, Vivien Bedwell, Leah Heiss, Carol Taylor and Janice Rieger and Megan Strickfaden. It explores how design for disability does not follow a one-size-fits-all model. Tuggeranong Arts Centre, September 26 to November 14. 

FIVE musicians come together to expound Miroslav Bukovsky’s adventurous new jazz composition inspired by sculptures in James Rogers survey show “Tunnelvision” at the ANU Drill Hall Gallery, Saturday, September 26, 6-7pm, then 8-9pm, book here.

ROBERT Verdon’s collection “A Spiral Life” (Resurgam Press) will be launched by Paul Hetherington at That Poetry Thing, and Anna Forsyth will Zoom in from New Zealand as the second featured poet. Combination live and streamed event. Smith’s Alternative, 6.30pm for 7pm, Monday, September 28.

THE Botanic Art Group’s exhibition “Legacy of Banks and Solander” will run in The Australian National Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre Gallery, 9.30am-4.30pm, from September 26-October 25. All welcome.
