BILK Gallery has completed a full circle. CHOREOGRAPHER Liz Lea’s “Interconnect” will share moves from 80,000 years of history of the land, to the designs of Burley Griffin and the present Covid restrictions. Lea is joined by classical Indian dancers from Apsaras Arts Canberra, Vanaja Dasika and Ira Patkar along with Debora di Centa and Rainbow. “THE Blade: Australia’s Love Affair With Lawn”, curated by Richard Heathcote in conjunction with the Australian Garden History Society, explores the history of lawn, modern gardening and lawn innovations and Indigenous land management. Also, “Sign of the Times” is an exhibition of Canberra signs representing life in the nation’s capital from the early 1900s to the present day. BRENDA Runnegar’s open studio takes place at 63 Ambalindum Street, Hawker, (Cnr Erldunda Street, opposite the primary school). From 10am-4pm this Saturday, November 21. Available for sale are textile, sculptures, cards, paintings and prints and hand-knitted scarves.

SNEAKY Jeremiah is back at the Artists Shed from 6-9pm on Saturday, November 21. Then three bands, Tennessine, KillWater and Skinny Wolf will be at the shed from 2-5pm on Sunday, November 22. ARTIST-potter Avi Amesbury makes bold marks on each piece, in the form of scraffito, and has designed her Black + White range so that every piece works together. She’s exhibiting as part of Design Canberra Open Studios, at 12 Todd Street, O’Connor, on Saturday, November 21, from 10am-4pm.

PHOTOACCESS and street artist Kate Matthews wants people’s help to create a photographic paste-up mural on the streets of Braddon, to show the diversity of Braddon from the perspective of those who live there. To have your face added to a collaged, photographic mural, taken and instantly printed to paste up, turn up at 26 Mort Street, Braddon, opposite Gather Café, Sunday, November 22.

GUNGAHLIN Arts is hosting “POP! Goes the Muso” free, family-friendly live music curated and MC’d by Dylan Elks at Yerrabi Pond district park (entry via Wunderlich Street) this Saturday afternoon, 3.30-5.30pm. Bring a picnic rug.

OVER six weekends in November and December, the “HERE I AM: Art by Great Women” festival at Kambri will present a free program of films that celebrate influential female artists. Launching the program at 7pm, this Saturday, November 21, with “Martha: A Picture Story” about American street art photographer Martha Cooper. TUGGERANONG Arts Centre presents “Double Vision: Corin Dam Residency”, the creative outcome of the 2019 Craft ACT Spring Residency, from November 21-December 18.
