As you slept: Fabulous storm photos from last night

AS most of us were stirred from sleep by the intense thunderstorm and torrential rain and hail overnight, the irrepressible former news photographer ANDREW CAMPBELL couldn’t let old habits die.

He was up, out and in the thick of things shooting these brilliant photos of thunderbolts and lightning. Campbell is a masterful chronicler of Nature’s ferment as it manifests in Canberra and it always a pleasure to publish his work. They don’t make snappers like him any more.
