ATM stolen in Queanbeyan ram raid

TWO men rammed into a Queanbeyan takeaway store and stole an ATM early this morning (June 23). 

At about 1.40am, the men, who were in a stolen Lexus SUV, rammed into the store on Uriarra Road before entering it through the damaged front door and taking an ATM.

A short time later, ACT police found the ATM and Lexus, burnt out, on Peter Cullen Way, Wright.

A crime scene has been established and will undergo forensic examination.

Anyone with information, or who may have witnessed any suspicious activity at the time of the incident, is urged to come forward.
