Brothers run their gym for the community

THE family-owned, Amaroo-located gym, My Local Gym, prides itself on caring for the community and keeping it healthy, and now that restrictions have eased, they’re excited to be back, say brothers and owners Pete and Mark Wilson.

Mark says returning to the gym is a very exciting time and the gym is currently offering a booking system for members to come in for a session or a class.

He says the team is working hard to maintain strict hygiene standards, with ongoing cleaning of the equipment.

And, once restrictions ease further, the gym will move back to being open 24/7, giving customers even more flexibility with their workout schedule.

The two brothers love the social vibe of their gym, which they say is very welcoming and family-friendly.

Since they opened in 2018, Mark says they have built great relationships with the local community and many friendships have been formed at the gym.

“As a family-run business we are focused on achieving health and fitness goals, but we also go that extra mile and offer a personal touch to our service,” says Mark.

Their boxing academy is one of the things which Mark says sets My Local Gym apart from others, with a boxing ring for boxing classes, including female self-defense classes coming soon.

Mark says he and the team look forward to welcoming new members to the gym, creating a tailored program to help them stay fit and healthy.
