Erindale Subway robbed at knifepoint

A KNIFE-wielding man robbed the Erindale Subway on Saturday morning (February 8) and took off with its cash draw.

A man grabs the cash draw at the Erindale Subway.

Police say that at about 10.40am yesterday, he entered the sandwich store and made demands for cash while brandishing a knife.

He took the money and ran to a nearby skate park, where he then allegedly stole a dark-coloured bike.

He was last seen riding the bike along Sternberg Crescent, Wanniassa.

The man is described as Caucasian, wearing red gloves, a dark-coloured Kappa brand hooded jacket (and then later a high-viz shirt), dark tight pants and dark shoes with white soles.

Anyone who saw the man or who has dashcam footage of him riding in Wanniassa to call 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
