THERE was an “explosion” at the Oracle apartment complex, on the corner of College Street and Benjamin Way, Belconnen last night.

Police have located the remnants of what they think is a “commercial-grade firework” in the common courtyard of the apartment complex and will have them forensically examined.

They say incident didn’t cause any significant property damage there isn’t any ongoing threat to public safety.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information about the incident is urged to call 1800 333000 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
