Firearm stolen from AFP vehicle in Fraser

ITEMS, including a firearm, were stolen from an Australian Federal Police (AFP) vehicle in Fraser yesterday (September 30).

There was a significant ACT Policing and AFP presence in the Belconnen area following the robbery, which saw an AFP duty belt and accoutrements including a firearm, stolen sometime between 5am and midday.

Officers continue to follow several lines of enquiry and encourage anyone who may have information about the location of the stolen property to contact police.

As this is an ongoing investigation, no further comment will be made at this time, police say.

If anyone in the Canberra community has knowledge of the stolen property they are urged to come forward. This information can be provided through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website quoting reference number 6639596.
