Fleeing robber crashes stolen motorcycle

A ROBBERY went wrong fast when a person crashed a red Honda CRF motorbike not long after it was stolen on Sunday (November 8).

At about 2.25pm, police responded to the crash on Duggan Street and believe the rider travelled from Outtrim Avenue to the intersection of Duggan Street and Finch Crescent before crashing.

A silver Hyundai Accent was following the rider at the time of the collision and police believe it may also have been involved in the theft.

Police are now seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the theft of a motorcycle involved in the collision in Calwell to come forward.

Anyone with dash-cam footage in the Calwell area around the time of the theft and collision (2pm to 2.30pm) is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000 or via the Crime Stoppers website, quoting reference 6669083.
