Leading Canberra law firm Meyer Vandenberg has a new special counsel with international expertise in franchising. This is a sponsored post.
FROM developing the entire Australian franchise system for US Ultimate Fighting Championship Gyms to negotiating a major private-equity acquisition of 35 franchised businesses, Massimo Di Maio brings deep expertise to Meyer Vandenberg’s Commercial Law team, as special counsel.
With both an Australian and Italian law degrees, Massimo’s legal experience spans some of the biggest national and international brands including Hungry Jacks, Westpac, Yamaha and Century 21.
Hailing from Rome, after making Melbourne, then Sydney his home, Massimo is excited about the diverse and interesting opportunities that Canberra offers in the commercial sector.
Massimo is impressed by the diversified portfolio of clients he has had the opportunity to work with since joining Meyer Vandenberg last month.
“There is so much potential in the Canberra market. I am confident that with the addition of our franchising capability, Meyer Vandenberg is well placed to deliver substantial value to our clients and drive growth in the commercial sector,” he says.
“I am thrilled to be part of the growing Meyer Vandenberg team. It’s a privilege to work with such talented and genuine people, and I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the firm.”
Meyer Vandenberg chair Archie Tsirimokos is equally enthused, saying: “I have always said that Canberra has the potential to become the place to be in Australia.
“The fact that we’re attracting bright minds from much further afield is testament to this. And now with the additional skills and experience that Massimo brings, I feel that Meyer Vandenberg is entering a whole new league.”
Meyer Vandenberg, the largest legal firm in Canberra, offers a vast range of services ranging from acquisitions to corporate restructure, debt recovery and all dispute matters.
Mr Tsirimokos says the firm is a trusted adviser to a huge range of clients, from some of Canberra’s biggest and most iconic businesses to start-ups looking to raise capital.
