THE full State of Alert has been declared for the whole of the ACT this afternoon (January 23).
The move follows advice from the Emergency Services Agency Commissioner about the bushfire conditions, which includes high winds, as well as bushfires burning in, and around, the ACT.
As Emergency Controller, Commissioner Georgeina Whelan’s powers have been renewed.
