Hail damage keeps Depot Markets closed again

THE Old Bus Depot Markets will be closed for a third Sunday in a row after hail significantly damaged the building last month.

This Sunday (February 9) the former transport depot in Kingston will remain shut for building works after more than 220 of its skylights were destroyed in the hail storm on January 20.

A spokesperson for artsACT says access to the markets’ administration office has been reinstated, however access to the remainder of the building, including the food court, is restricted due to significant risk to safety.

Rectification works are scheduled to be complete by Monday, February 10, with the markets estimated to be up-and-running again on Sunday, February 16.
