Hundreds of free plants are up for grabs

ALMOST 1000 free plants will be up for grabs tomorrow (March 12) in Garema Place.

The City Renewal Authority is looking for people to re-home these plants after they were swapped out for other plants for the new season.

Plants available tomorrow include Beyond Blues (plum), Mambos (blue), Cora Cascades (magenta), Streams (white, rose, lavender), Mystic Spires (Blue), Serenitas (purple), Frescos (pink and purple), Bellezas (white) and Pacific Sunrise and Sunsets.

The plant giveaway will be held at midday tomorrow and the City Renewal Authority says there is a limit of four plants per person.

Plants are only allowed to be taken from the specified location at the specified time.

Unlike previous giveaways this event is taking place after the installation of the new seasonal plantings, so it is important to note that not all plants in the city are up for grabs, says the authority.
