IT services focused on helping businesses thrive

“We want to support companies and apply our experience to their networks and situations to help them thrive,” says AU•IT managing director Alan Dawe. This is a sponsored post.

AU•IT, a full-service IT company, is all about helping businesses thrive, says managing director and co-founder Alan Dawe.

And, after starting as a web hosting business called GoHosting in 2003, Alan and his business partner Steve Hampson have since seen their business thrive, to meet more demand from their customers.

They would often be asked about providing IT support as well, and by 2017 that side of the business had grown and they founded AU•IT, which offers services such as managed services, fixed rate IT support, ad hoc support, IT security services, IT project management, asset management, disaster recovery, backup management and hosting services.

“We’ve been a small business ourselves and we know it’s hard to find good IT people,” Alan says.

“We want to support companies and apply our experience to their networks and situations to help them thrive.”

As AU•IT is owned and operated by the same people who run a national web hosting company, Alan says there’s a lot of experience and a pool of resources there, with all staff having a specialised range of skills.

“We pride ourselves on our high level of service, and don’t shoehorn staff into one specific task,” he says.

“It’s satisfying knowing that we’re helping people. I enjoy problem solving, liaising with customers, looking at clients’ level of risk and implementing solutions.”

Based in Hume, Alan says the area is community-oriented, with successful businesses and strong infrastructure.

“It’s exciting to be part of the growth here,” he says.
