James Willson joins NCA board

CANBERRA media identity James Willson has joined the National Capital Authority board.

Chairman Terry Weber said: “Mr Willson brings a wide breadth of experience from previous board positions complemented by his operational knowledge of business strategy, communications, financial reporting and analysis along with economic modelling, business structuring, and legal and constitutional frameworks.”

Previous board positions held by Mr Willson include Regional Development Australia ACT, Australian Foundation for Mental Health Research, Canberra Business Chamber, Canberra Hospital Foundation and Snowy Hydro Southcare. His current board roles are with CIT Solutions, Canberra Grammar School Foundation and the RSPCA ACT.

“What the NCA oversees is for every Australian, and I hope that the skills I possess across governance, communication, placemaking and brand make a significant contribution to the NCA,” Mr Willson said.

Other authority members are Dennis Richardson, Jenny Smithson and chief executive Sally Barnes.
