Labor promises a destination playground in the inner north

ACT Labor leader Andrew Barr

A RE-ELECTED ACT Labor government will invest $5.4 million in improving six playgrounds and $2 million towards building a new destination playground in the inner north.

ACT Labor says it will improve playgrounds in Kaleen, Ngunnawal, Chisholm, Gordon, Lyons and Aranda.

“Each project will be different, and may include upgrades to the existing playground or adding new play facilities like a nature play, climbing structures and bike pump tracks,” says ACT Labor leader Andrew Barr.

In addition to these playgrounds, a re-elected ACT Labor government says it will also invest $360,000 to build 12 new shade-sails at playgrounds across Canberra, and $400,000 to build fencing at playgrounds.
