A RE-ELECTED Labor government will invest $3.6 million to upgrade Tidbinbilla Visitor Centre and improve tracks and trails in nature reserves.
“Tidbinbilla is a Canberra icon, attracting over 220,000 visitors per annum. These upgrades will help ensure it brings even more travellers to the ACT, creating jobs in our tourism sector,” says ACT Labor leader Andrew Barr.
“The visitor centre redesign will focus on providing greater access for people with disabilities, and facilitate visitors interacting with wildlife and learn about Canberra’s outstanding threatened species recovery program.”
ACT Labor has also made an uncosted promise to build a “flow” style mountain biking trail from Stromlo Forest Park to Cotter recreation area creating a link between the two popular recreation hubs.
Labor promises! They have had 20 years of jobs for the boys, 20 years of promises every election year, 20 years of worse and worse planning and a clear bias towards the childless, the under 40s, the hipsters, the urban greenies. What about the rest of us, the wage slaves playing the debt game trying to to make a safe comfortable place for their families, while supplying rates and taxes to keep the city going.
WHAT ABOUT NON-GREEN, NON-LEFTIES, WHO JUST PAY TAXES, GO TO WORK, AND DO THE RIGHT THING???
DON’T GIVE A RAT’S ARSE, DO YOU, Barr.
You have previously admitted you bought 20+ years ago in a part of the town that has greatly benefitted from investment and you are standing to make windfall gains. But you make it out like the whole world is against you – you poor ‘debt game’ when you will benefit greatly from wealth created at the expense of coming generations.
Take a look outside the bubble and realise you’re doing just fine.
