A RE-ELECTED Labor government will invest $3.6 million to upgrade Tidbinbilla Visitor Centre and improve tracks and trails in nature reserves.
“Tidbinbilla is a Canberra icon, attracting over 220,000 visitors per annum. These upgrades will help ensure it brings even more travellers to the ACT, creating jobs in our tourism sector,” says ACT Labor leader Andrew Barr.
“The visitor centre redesign will focus on providing greater access for people with disabilities, and facilitate visitors interacting with wildlife and learn about Canberra’s outstanding threatened species recovery program.”
ACT Labor has also made an uncosted promise to build a “flow” style mountain biking trail from Stromlo Forest Park to Cotter recreation area creating a link between the two popular recreation hubs.
