A MACQUARIE man was arrested early yesterday (August 2) morning after he assaulted his neighbour and spat on a police officer.
The 29-year-old was asked to leave his neighbour’s residence after he allegedly made threats to the neighbour, damaged a vehicle, smashed a light and assaulted the neighbour.
When police officers were arresting him, he allegedly spat on one of the arresting officers.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court on charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possessing an offensive weapon with intent, damaging property and assaulting a frontline community service provider.
