A SIXTY-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter after he assaulted an 89-year-old woman at an aged-care facility in Campbell.
Both the man and woman were residents at the Campbell aged-care facility when, on November 14, 2018, the man allegedly assaulted her, causing a number of injuries including a fractured hip joint.
ACT Ambulance Service paramedics treated the woman and transported her to hospital. She died in hospital on December 4.
The man was arrested on March 24 following an extensive police investigation and faces manslaughter charges at the ACT Magistrates Court.
