Man kicked out of the ACT for breaking virus requirements

A MAN was told to immediately leave the ACT after he was caught breaking quarantine requirements on Saturday (July 25) night. 

The man had travelled from Victoria on Friday night and, as part of the condition of his NSW/Victoria border crossing permit, was supposed to proceed directly to Sydney to self-isolate for 14 days.

Police located the man at a business premises in the ACT directed him to leave the ACT immediately.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are still under investigation, and the man may face a fine of $1000 for travelling to the ACT without an exemption.
