Map reveals extent and danger of out-of-control fires

THE ESA has released a map showing the extent and danger of two out-of-control fires around the now closed Canberra airport.

RED: The “emergency” level fire has jumped the Molonglo River and is heading towards the suburbs of Oaks Estate, Beard and West Queanbeyan.

YELLOW:The Kallaroo Road grass fire, which is rated at “watch and act”.
