Nine new virus cases confirmed in Canberra

ACT Health has confirmed nine new coronavirus cases in the ACT bringing the number to 53.

The new cases include six men and three woman, aged between 21 and 83, who are all linked to overseas travel, including cruise ships, with one of the cases being a close contact.

ACT Health say there is still no evidence of community transmission in the ACT.

There are currently three COVID-19 patients in the Canberra Hospital in a stable condition, with the rest isolating at home.
