Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Greenway

A PEDESTRIAN is in hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Greenway this morning (October 12). 

The pedestrian was hit on Anketell Street at about 10.20am and was transported to hospital for treatment of non?life?threatening injuries.

Anketell Street was closed for some time but police say it was reopened to at about 11.45am.

ACT Policing detective acting superintendent road policing Marcus Boorman says: “This collision serves as a reminder to both drivers and pedestrians that, even in low-speed areas, you need to pay attention to what you’re doing as you are responsible for your own safety, and that of other road users.”

Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website quoting reference number 6645748.
