DOMESTIC cruises are back on the agenda and it’s time to think ahead to next year and book a relaxing cruise that will give the family a fun getaway without lifting a finger.

And if holidaymakers choose to spend extra on specialty dining options like sushi or the steakhouse, it’s more cost-effective than most near-equivalents on land, and a unique experience to match.

There’s even a free kids’ club onboard, with age-appropriate activities for two to 11-year-olds, which is also open on port days in case parents want to head ashore for some alone time.

There’s also four days to Moreton Island, departing from Sydney; four days to Airlie Beach, departing from Brisbane; four to five days to Tasmania, departing Sydney and calling into Hobart and/or Port Arthur.

For a longer holiday, there’s seven-to-10-day trips (depending on the departure port) to the Great Barrier Reef, calling into Airlie Beach, Port Douglas, Cairns and Willis Island (scenic cruising). Itineraries are available from both Sydney and Brisbane.
