Ram raiders hit shops in Jamison and Braddon

POLICE believe two ram raids at local shopping centres early yesterday morning (February 27) are linked.

About 4.25am, the Liquor Land store at the Jamison shops was damaged after being rammed by a stolen Toyota Corolla wagon. However, nothing appears to have been stolen.

Then, about 5am, police say the Braddon Supermarket, located on Lowanna Street, was also rammed by a vehicle. It was significantly damage and property was stolen.

Police believe the incidents are linked – the silver car was used in both incidents. The wagon was recovered by police in Downer later on Thursday morning.

Police are seeking witnesses and CCTV or dash-cam footage of ram raids and anyone with information about either incident should call 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website
