An occasional contributor to citynews.com.au, SABINE FRIEDRICH absolutely surpassed her earlier pieces with this striking image from today’s opening morning of the annual autumn Canberra Balloon Spectacular on the lawns of Old Parliament House, beside lake Burley Griffin. The event, which attracts more than 30 balloons, is reckoned to be one of the four leading balloon events in the world. It runs every morning, weather permitting, until March 15.
