Sleeping man stabbed after waking to a robber

WHEN a man woke to find a robber in his Flynn home last month, he was stabbed in his upper torso.

At about 12.20am on September 25, the victim woke to find a robber in his home, confronted the robber, who then attacked and stabbed him.

The robber fled and the victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at hospital.

Yesterday, weeks after the attack, police arrested a 44-year-old Giralang man, who they say was connected to burglary.

Police will allege the offender entered the residence in Flynn and attempted to steal money while the resident was sleeping.

The man will face charges of aggravated burglary with intent to cause harm, theft and intentionally wounding at the ACT Magistrates Court.
