Slippery suspect took a bit of getting

THIRD time lucky: police have finally managed to get a 27-year-old man charged with drug and fail to stop charges.

Police found money and methamphetamine and cannabis during a raid on a Banks house on January 3, but the man wasn’t home at the time.

At about 9.30pm last Wednesday (January 15), police allege the man returned a positive roadside drug test when stopped on Colquhoun Street, Kambah.

Despite being arrested for possession of illegal substance charges related to the warrant executed in Banks, the man fled at speed with police watching the car being driven, they say, in a dangerous manner southbound on Drakeford Drive.

The man was finally nabbed after police spotted his car outside a hotel in Curtin at 11.45 on Saturday (January 18).
