Stolen car tracked on mobile phone, two arrested

A MAN and woman were arrested last night (October 30) and face charges of being involved in the theft of a grey Tesla car from the basement of a Braddon apartment complex around 6.45am on Thursday.

The vehicle’s owner had used a mobile phone to the car to Haig Park, where it had been abandoned.

The alleged offenders, a 25-year-old Holt man and 21-year-old Fisher woman, were arrested at about 6pm after police responded to reports of a disturbance at a Belconnen residence.

The man will also face a charge of driving without a licence while the woman will face an additional charge of possessing a declared substance.

Their arrest follows the apprehension of a third alleged offender linked to the vehicle theft who faced court earlier this week.
