Storm calls smash ESA record for help

CANBERRANS seeking help after today’s brutal hailstorm storm have make a record number of calls to the ACT Emergency Services Agency.

The agency was inundated with more than 1900 calls for help since midday today (January 20).

Over the last two years, the ACT State Emergency Service says it has averaged an annual storm response of about 600 jobs.
