Teen dies after Wanniassa crash

A TEENAGER girl died today (November 3), two days after a single vehicle crash in Wanniassa. She is the sixth person to die on Canberra roads this year. 

The girl, a 16-year-old, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after the crash, which happened on Longmore Crescent, at about 1.50am on Saturday (October 31).

The driver and two other passengers were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Team is investigation the circumstances surrounding the incident and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

Police say the families of all parties involved have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time and no further details will be provided.
