Teens nabbed for stealing and pranging car

The allegedly stolen car against the Conder light pole.

THREE teenage boys have been apprehended after driving a stolen white Holden Colorado into a light pole in Conder on Saturday (March 14).

Police say the Colorado was stolen from a house in Conder between 7.30am and 8.30am yesterday.

At about 8.32am a police on patrol in Box Hill Avenue, Conder, saw the Colorado drive from the road on to a footpath, where it collided with a light pole.

Three young people attempted to flee but were apprehended a short time later in a nearby unit complex and taken to Tuggeranong Police Station.

Police will allege all three youths were involved in stealing the vehicle.

The three teenage boys, two aged 14 and one aged 15, will be summoned to appear before the ACT Children’s Court. One will face charges of driving a motor vehicle without consent and being an unlicensed driver. The other two will appear on charges of riding in a motor vehicle without consent.
