Third person charged after car park knife threat

A 19-year-old Chisholm man is the third to face charges relating to an attempted aggravated robbery in Wanniassa in June.

Just before 9pm on Sunday, June 21, two people allegedly approached a woman in the car park of the Erindale Shopping Centre, located on Comire Street, Wanniassa.

Police allege the pair demanded the woman hand over money. One of the pair threatened the woman with a knife.

After a brief struggle, the pair fled empty-handed in a blue Suzuki Swift. It is alleged the 19-year-old man was the driver of the vehicle.

Police arrested the man at a house in Chisholm about 4pm yesterday (July 3).

He has been charged with one count of attempt aggravated robbery.
