Transport runs less over Easter but only use it if ‘necessary’

PUBLIC transport will operate less frequently over the Easter long weekend but the ACT government continues to urge people to only use it if “absolutely necessary”.

But, for people who need these services to get to the shops, to appointments and to and from work, bus services will operate on a Sunday timetable on Good Friday (April 10), Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

Saturday, April 11, will continue to operate to a Saturday timetable.

Light rail services will operate to a Sunday frequency over the whole Easter holiday period.

Bus and light rail services will return to their regular schedules on Tuesday, April 14.

The ACT government says cash will no longer be accepted on Transport Canberra buses until further notice as they respond to COIVD-19 to help keep our customers and drivers safe.
