Untold stories stay untold as museum delays new exhibition

WITH the closure of the National Museum, its planned exhibition, “Endeavour Voyage: The Untold Stories of Cook and the First Australians”, is delayed indefinitely. Updates at nma.gov.au

M16 Artspace has had to temporarily suspend the gallery program, but the exhibitions by Domenic Mico, Sally O’Neill and Madeline Young will be showing at m16artspace.com until Sunday, April 5.

PARKS Australia has announced that the Australian National Botanic Gardens, Booderee, Kakadu and Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Parks will be temporarily closed to visitors and other non-essential travellers for a minimum of two weeks.

MEGALO Print Studio in Kingston will now be closed to the public and members (including extended access users) until further notice. This means there is no access to the gallery or studios and all public programs have been suspended or cancelled. The affected programs include classes, workshops, print clubs, residencies, exhibition openings and its 40th event calendar.

OPERA Australia today announced that it will be temporarily standing down the majority of its staff from across the Company until the end of May, offering a package that allows staff to access up to 80 per cent of their regular salary (based on a 38 hour week).

Groove Warehouse: Happier times.

BUT Gary France’s Groove Warehouse drum classes will resume today (March 25) online, at no extra cost. All enrolled students will receive email invitations to “zoom” meetings prior the regular scheduled class, with a log-in time 15 minutes prior to class. APRA AMCOS is holding “3-2-1” (three hours, two songwriters, one song) virtual song writing sessions for members. An APRA AMCOS ambassador curator will pair members, a writer services rep will introduce co-writers to arrange a three-hour working session at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
