Weather bureau warns of damaging winds

THE Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for the ACT, saying damaging winds are predicted for this evening and tomorrow (March 20).

The ACT Emergency Services Agency (ACT ESA) is urging Canberrans to prepare their home and property before the storm comes.

The agency recommends not parking cars under trees, securing loose items around the home and removing any broken branches that have occurred from recent storms.
