Whelan keeps the total fire ban in place

ACT Emergency Controller Georgeina Whelan has extended the weekend’s Total Fire Ban for the whole of the ACT for the duration of Monday, February 3.

The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting hot and dry conditions, with winds of up to 35 km/h.

The forecast Fire Danger Rating for tomorrow is predicted to be SEVERE and the ESA says fire is difficult to control in these conditions.
